Terre Haute, IN – Seniors at Indiana State University got the opportunity to meet some employers on Wednesday.
ISU’s Career Center hosted the event, which they call Senior Day.
Employers brought representatives to meet with the students.
They also had information on job openings and internships.
The employers took time to review resumes, cover letters, do mock interviews and offer job search tips.
ISU seniors could also take advantage of the Career Center’s clothing closet and get a professional photo taken by a photographer at the event.
Organizers say it’s a win-win for everyone.
“Students like it because again they can come in on their own time, they don’t have to stay. They can come and go as they please and, of course, our employers love it because they’re getting facetime in front of our students,” says Tradara McLaurine, the Executive Director of the Career Center.
Students could also attend a presentation in the afternoon to learn about benefits and insurance packages.
